Regular waxing leaves your legs feeling sumptuously soft and silky smooth. As well as the confidence that comes with your post-wax, flawless skin; there are lots of practical upsides to it.
Waxing removes the entire strand of hair, right down to the follicle. This means that each hair takes a lot longer to grow back (a normal hair growing cycle is about a month). With shaving, on the other hand, you have to pick up the razor every 3-4 days to keep your legs glossy!
Waxing also comes with long-term benefits. Because hair is removed from the follicle, over time, waxing can make your hair finer and less noticeable. Although this can vary from person to person, removing hair with wax gradually weakens follicles. This means that hair grows back finer and thinner than before, making it even easier to remove during your next wax.
Shaving can cause mild irritation and the skin on your legs to flare up, especially if it’s sensitive. The friction with the blade can create little red bumps on the skin, which can become itchy. This is both annoying and doesn’t look great. Waxing (particularly, hot wax as opposed to strip) is far easier on the skin, causing less irritation. In just one, two or three, strip wax per section, your legs feel luxuriantly velvety.
Waxing isn’t exactly exfoliation but it does something similar. When you wax, you’ll notice that your legs seem to shine. This isn’t just because they’re completely smooth – the wax essentially gives them a mini treatment, removing any dead skin and dirt from the skin surface. Hair removal and a refresh in one!
